Warrior type votive offering

Votive offering of the warrior type associated with the Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia in Sparta (or possibly another sanctuary site in Lakonia). The end part of his feet and his spear have not survived The warrior faces to his left and has a large shield with a rosette design on it. The substantial size of the warrior suggests that it was made in a mould. There is excess lead at the tope of the head.
