Spot and count: a hidden animal adventure

This session has different games and activities that will help learners to discover how animals hide within their environment and explain different forms of camouflage.

Workshop details

This interactive session will explore different animals that live on land and in water. It includes games and activities that will help learners to discover how animals hide within their environment and explain different forms of camouflage. The activities will also promote the use of numbers and counting in a fun and engaging environment. 

This exciting and active workshop has lots packed in to keep little learners entertained and involved. 

Practical information for your visit 

To help your pupils gain the most from their session and ensure safe handling of the collections, it is essential that you have a ratio of at least 1 adult helper to 8 pupils. 

Please arrive on time for your show or we may not be able to run it for you. Please share these notes with your adult helpers before your visit. This will help them to support your pupils have a successful and enjoyable day.

Communication and language development 

Pupils should be taught to: 

  • Listen attentively in a range of situations. Give their attention to what others say and respond appropriately, while engaged in other activity.

  • Children learn to recognise and respect the diversity of animals.
