Cicely Mary Barker’s books of Flower Fairies are known and loved around the world. For 100 years, they have brought joy to people of all ages. These charming illustrations celebrate the beauty of nature and the innocence of childhood. This talk will explore Cicely’s family life, her childhood inspiration and early success, the creation of the Flower Fairies, and her lifelong love of English flowers, plants, and trees.
