Discover the Hartley Hut
No current dates available
Join us for a rare opportunity to go inside one of the Hartley Huts. Located on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, join our own gatekeeper who will share stories about the hut, and unveil finds from recent dockside excavations with the archaeology team.
The three Hartley Huts were designed by Jesse Hartley as part of the Albert Dock construction. They were built in 1844 as shelters for the workers operating the gates into the river, providing a place to keep warm and dry away from the unforgiving waterfront weather.
As we look to redevelop the huts as part of the Waterfront Transformation Project, we would love to hear your feedback on the site during this opening day.
