Happy birthday Liverpool!

On 28 August 1207 King John placed his seal on the Letters Patent that created the Liverpool we know today. Before long the town boasted seven streets, a castle, and a market. In time it would grow to be one of the country's most vibrant, diverse, and important cities.

In this gathering we will mark Liverpool's 817th birthday with a chance to find out more about the amazing history of the area with experts from National Museums Liverpool and more.
