Liverpool Irish Festival family day
No current dates available
Join us for our annual Liverpool Irish Festival Family Day co-hosted with the Liverpool Irish Festival. We will have masses of family activities to entertain and engage visitors of all ages.
The Armagh Rhymers, direct from their appearance on BBC Television’s ‘The Repair Shop,’ return with more mumming, music and stories. We’ll introduce visitors to Little Globy, a global ambassador for green actions. The Bolger-Cunningham School of Irish Dancing will give it their all in the morning, before the George Ferguson School for Irish Dance perform on the Museum Atrium in the afternoon. All of this will be woven with traditional music performances from Melody Makers and from Comhaltas.
There will be craft workshops during the day and the opportunity to follow the museum's Irish Trail through the museum’s collections, led by volunteers from the Liverpool Irish Famine Trail.
The day puts the Irish of Liverpool at the heart of everything – the programme, the museum building and the City.
