No current dates available
You may already know that bees like to boogie, but did you also know they use medicines to fight illness? And do you want to learn more about bees from science’s premier drag queen Polly Nation?
As part of Bees: A Story of Survival, join Dr Lewis Bartlett and his drag alter ego Polly Nation for an informative and fun look into the fascinating world of bees. Find out how bees follow dance routines to communicate, how they use medicines to clean their homes and fight illnesses, and just how diverse their world is.
From bees that are the size of a pinhead to bees as big as mice, this unmissable talk looks at the diversity of bees across the globe, including meat eating bees, arctic bees and more.
Hear about how they sting, how they buzz, and how bees have inspired a whole industry in Silicone Valley, California!
Talks are aimed at young adults aged 16+, but all are welcome to attend. Tickets cost £3 and talks will take place at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
