Join us for a special night of space exploration, special planetarium shows and practical demonstrations. There will be telescope stations to view the night sky (weather permitting) supported by Liverpool Astronomical Society.
There will be a series of fascinating talks from many of our usual speakers, plus some new ones – more information will be announced soon. Chat with members and staff from Liverpool Astronomical Society, University of Liverpool, MajorTim.Space Ambassadors and many more in the Skyline gallery.
Suitable for all levels of interest, these events are aimed at adults and children aged 8 and above, although there will be some activities for younger children as well.
The event will start at 5.30pm, however, the Museum's cafe will remain open from 4 until 8pm, with the event closing at 9pm. The amazing World Museum shop will be open from 17.30 – 8pm for you to grab yourself a gift.

6 - 6.30pm - First Eye on the Sky - Dr Steve Barrett.
A rough guide to buying your first astronomical telescope. The pros and cons of the different telescope types and a guide to the prices you can expect to pay. (ground floor)
6.45 - 7.15pm - Journey Through Our Galaxy - Andrea Font (ground floor)
7.15 - 7.45pm - Astrophotography -Dr Steve Barrett Photographing the night sky without ridiculously expensive equipment. What can be done with a digital camera, a tripod, a bit of ingenuity and very little else? (1st floor)
8 - 8.30pm - The dark side of the Universe: dark matter, dark energy and black holes - Andreea Font (1st floor)
